In the Art Gallery of Western Australia’s (AGWA) soaring main gallery, Anna Park stands between two of her intricate works. Both are hyper-detailed symphonies of charcoal and ink; one, titled Just Imagine! (2024), features a Betty Boop-ish cartoon figure bursting through a titular slogan. The other, called Finders Keepers (2024), features female faces blending into each other as panels reveal a loaded word: Smile.
